Feed Your Kids for $2 or Less Every Day of the Week in Houston

cinwfwairstatv8qrner

I was dreading it, but it finally happened. We have reached the stage where our kids are now too old to share portions with me or each other and require their own meals at restaurants. As a family of five, this can really add up quickly. Luckily, Houston has a ton of locations that provide kids eat free promotions.

So leave this week’s meal planning to us! We’ve taken the liberty of creating a few different Houston half-day trips centered around these free—or almost free!—kids deals. (Please note, we checked to make sure all of these deals were valid when this post published, but the promotions are subject to change. Give them a call to confirm before you head out.)

Dinos & Burgers on Mondays

Many of the museums are closed on Mondays, but not the Houston Museum of Natural Science! Explore the dinosaur exhibits on Monday afternoon and grab a burger afterwards at Fuddruckers. Kids get 99 cent meals on Mondays after 4pm with the purchase of an adult meal. This deal is valid at the other Houston Fuddruckers locations, too!

Taco Tuesday in West U

Can everyone say Taco Tuesday? Spend your morning at Weir Park in West U before grabbing a meal at Berryhill Baja Grill. Kids under 10 qualify to eat free all day on Tuesdays. Be aware, there is a limit of one free kids meal per adult entrée or combo. This offer is also good at the other Berryhill spots in town.

Wings and Trains on Wednesdays

Take a trip to Rosenberg on Wednesday and visit one of our favorite train spots, the Rosenberg Railroad Museum. Afterwards, ride over to Buffalo Wild Wings (2727 Mercantile Drive), where after 4pm kids under 12 eat for only $1.99 from the kids menu with the purchase of an adult entrée.

Breakfast for Dinner on Thursdays

At most IHOP locations, kids under the age of 12 eat free 7 days a week from 4 to 10pm daily with the purchase of an adult meal. Consider taking a stroll around Memorial Park or visiting the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center before filling up on pancakes at the Washington Avenue IHOP (6508 Washington Ave.).

Out of Luck Fridays

Sorry hungry friends! After lots of research and phone calls, it seems no one wants to feed our kids for free in Houston on Fridays. We recommend treating yourself to a date night instead!

Saturdays in the Park

Spend the morning at the Houston Zoo or exploring Hermann Park, then cruise over to Luby’s for lunch. Kids eat free after 11am on Saturdays with the purchase of an adult entrée. This offer works at most of the 25 Luby’s in Houston and is also good on Wednesdays after 4pm.

Artsy Sundays

On Sundays, enjoy some time in the Heights exploring Houston art! Visit the Art Car Museum, check out the “We Heart Houston” sign or go mural hunting. Afterwards, stop by Gabby’s BBQ (3101 N Shepherd Dr.) for some Texas style eats. Kids under the age of 12 eat free on Sundays with the purchase of an entrée.
